Matthew Gray

Matthew Gray, M.A., is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications and stakeholder engagement. Since November 2021, Matthew serves as the Corporate Communications Manager and Senior Advisor for Special Projects and Communications at TransAlta. Prior to this role, Matthew was the Manager of Power at Scott Land & Lease Ltd., overseeing a team dedicated to providing comprehensive services to renewable developers and utility clients. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor at the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), where Matthew developed stakeholder engagement models and managed government relations. Matthew's earlier roles include leadership positions at Nova Scotia Power and AESO, focusing on customer relationships and stakeholder consultation. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Communications Studies from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Prince Edward Island.
