Shumin Hou

Shumin Hou, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a mechanical engineer with over eight years of experience in mechanical design, stress analysis, heat transfer, and fluid flow. Shumin has developed gas turbine components and conducted wind energy assessments while working at various organizations, including MDS Aero Support Corporation and TransAlta. They also held a part-time professor role at Algonquin College, teaching mechanical engineering courses. Shumin earned a Ph.D. in mechanical design and theory from Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
