Willem Keogh

Willem Keogh is an accomplished accounting professional currently serving as the Director of Technical Accounting and External Reporting at TransAlta since July 2021. Previously, Willem held roles including Director of External Reporting, Accounting Policy & SOX Compliance, and Manager of Financial Reporting at the same company. Prior to TransAlta, Willem worked at KPMG Canada as an Experienced Senior Audit Manager from October 2016 to June 2021, and served as Corporate Controller at Olympia Financial Group Inc. from March 2013 to September 2016. Willem began a significant career in auditing at PwC across Canada, the US, and South Africa from March 2002 to February 2013. Willem holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) from the University of the Free State and is a Chartered Accountant with designations from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
