Yara Maylen de Vries

Yara Maylen de Vries is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as a First Officer for Transavia since December 2013, performing critical flight operations as outlined in company manuals. Previously, Yara co-founded MilSpec Vehicles, specializing in heavy-duty and military specifications for 4x4 vehicles, and held various roles as a First Officer with Transavia.com during summer contracts. Early career experiences include an administrative position at Opsis Oogartsenpraktijk. Yara holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and has also achieved proficiency in the German language through studies at Goethe Institut Bonn and Carl Duisberg Berlin, alongside a Frozen ATPL from KLM Flight Academy. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology and completion of the Gymnasium at GSG Schagen.
