Louise Whitley has extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical field. Louise began their career with Lederle Laboratories in 1992 as the Acting Medical Information Manager. Afterwards, they worked with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain as the Senior Staff Editor BNF. In 1999, they joined the Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Medicines Information and Practice Pharmacist. Additionally, they worked as a freelance medical affairs, medical and regulatory writer, and also handled medical information and pharmacovigilance tasks. In 2011, they started working with tranScrip, initially as a Partner and later, as a Senior Partner. Presently, they hold the position of Executive Director of Medical Affairs and Safety at tranScrip.

Louise Whitley obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Pharmacy from Aston University, from 1986 to 1989. Louise later pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Brighton, from 1994 to 1996. Prior to their university education, Louise attended Dartford Grammar School for Girls, although the specific years are not provided.
