Amal Alex, Ph.D.

Amal Alex, Ph.D. has held various research positions since 2013. Amal was a Summer Research Student at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 2013 to 2015. Amal then completed their Master Thesis at the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), Kolkata from 2015 to 2016. Amal was a Visiting Intern at the Raman Research Institute from 2016 to 2017. From 2017 to 2022, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher and Doctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology. Amal is currently a Research Scientist at Transition Bio, Inc.

Amal Alex, Ph.D. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the IMPRS-LM International Max Planck Research School for Living Matter in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained an Integrated BS-MS degree in Biological Sciences from the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER), Kolkata in 2016. In 2022, they obtained a certification in Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials from Coursera.
