Bruis van Vlijmen is a seasoned professional with a strong background in engineering and commercialization within the battery and sustainability sectors. Currently serving as a Venture Partner at Transition since December 2021, Bruis collaborates with early-stage founders to advance climate solutions. Previously, Bruis held roles such as Commercialisation Manager and Lead for Batteries at Calix Limited, focusing on sustainable battery materials, as well as a Battery Data Analytics Research Engineer at Stanford University, where data-driven strategies were developed for Li-ion battery technologies. Experience also includes co-founding JasjeDasje, a student clothing webshop, and various internships in consulting and equity. Bruis earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and holds a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Delft University of Technology, alongside various educational experiences internationally.
