Onyekachi Ogbu

Onyekachi Ogbu serves as the National Coordinator for African Students For Liberty since July 2021, overseeing event organization and community development. In April 2024, Onyekachi began working as an AI Trainer at Translated, focusing on prompt evaluation and translation. Other roles include Convener and Co-Convener for the Nigerian Languages Data & Sci-Tech Conference, where responsibilities encompass conference planning and marketing. As a translator and reviewer for Clearly Local and TermLog, Onyekachi specializes in linguistic tasks, including coining terms and providing translations. Financial oversight is managed as the Director of Finance for the Students For Liberty UNN Chapter. Additionally, Onyekachi contributes to NLP research through data annotation for Masakhane and works as a correspondent for speakfreely. Responsibilities as an Igbo Translator for Ojoun Limited include translating documents and labels. Onyekachi also holds the position of Project Manager for the Geneopets initiative at SECURE MetaWork. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and Environmental Biology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
