Akanksha Thakur

Akanksha Thakur, MEd, serves as the Equity Diversity Inclusion Program Manager at TransLink, the first role of its kind within the organization since March 2022. Prior experience includes serving as the Program Coordinator for EDI Resources & Outreach at Simon Fraser University from May 2015 to March 2022, where Akanksha managed a province-wide EDI Resource Hub and developed educational materials for staff and students. Additional roles include course developer at the Canadian Race Relations Foundation and EDI consultant for the Association for Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning BC/Yukon. Akanksha's education includes a Master of Education in Equity Studies in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Education from Simon Fraser University, along with studies in Sociology and Anthropology at Douglas College.
