Akshaya Balakrishnan

Akshaya Balakrishnan is a civil engineer with extensive experience in the construction and engineering sectors. Currently serving as an Engineer in the civil group at TranSmart since April 2023, Akshaya previously worked at ESI CONSULTANTS, LTD. from June 2018 to May 2023, where responsibilities included assisting with construction services, designing sewer systems using AutoCAD 3D, and managing project documentation. Akshaya also held positions as a Graduate Assistant in Human Resources at UIC Campus Recreation and as a Design Engineer at Amarnath Builders and Promoters, focusing on residential and multi-storey building designs. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology.
