Brian McGowan

Brian McGowan has extensive experience in various leadership roles in the environmental and energy sectors. Brian was the Vice President and Central Region Business Development Director at Atlas since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Business Development at TranSmart from 2019 to 2023. Brian also held positions such as Illinois Chapter Representative at the National Association of Environmental Professionals, Director at the Illinois Association of Environmental Professionals, and Committee Member at the MEA Energy Association. Brian's earlier roles included serving as an Environmental Project Manager II at Atwell, LLC, Vice President of Energy at Environmental Design International inc., Vice President at Entech Sustainable Solutions, and National Director of the Sustainable Practices Division at SET Environmental, Inc. In these roles, Brian demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, business development, and building relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Brian McGowan attended Illinois State University from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology.
