Mike Barrera P.e.

Mike Barrera, P.E. is a civil engineer with extensive experience in the field. Currently, Mike serves as a civil engineer at TranSmart, where contributions are vital to the $2.1 billion design-build Red-Purple Modernization project. Previously, Mike held the position of project engineer at Lorig Construction Company, managing various IDOT and ISTHA contracts, ensuring timely and contract-compliant project completion. Prior experience includes an engineering intern role at Lake County Division of Transportation, assisting with paving projects, and another engineering intern position at Bell Flavors & Fragrances, where Mike created Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams using AutoCAD.
