Rod Ennis

Rod Ennis, MBA, is a highly experienced aviation professional currently serving as Vice President of Aviation at TransMedics, Inc. since July 2025. Prior to this role, Ennis held the position of Vice President of Flight Operations at Northern Air Cargo from September 2021 to July 2025 and was the Director of Flight Operations at Air Transport International between October 2013 and September 2021. Ennis also owned Ennis Photography from February 2006 to September 2021 and worked as a pilot at Southwest Airlines from February 2011 to October 2013. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Pilot at Capital Cargo International Airlines for a brief period in 2010 and President of EcCare Health Centers from August 2008 to December 2009. Ennis's long career began at ATA Airlines, where roles included Chief Pilot and various check airman positions from November 1989 to April 2008, and included service as an Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration from March 1986 to November 1989. Ennis holds an MBA in Executive Management from Ohio University and a BS in Economics/Business Administration from both the University of Indianapolis and DePauw University.
