Prof. Dr. Christian Überall

Prof. Dr. Christian Überall has a diverse work experience in various industries. Prof. Dr. Christian is currently the Founder and President of the Center Industry 4.0/Digitalization at TransMIT GmbH, a role they have held since July 2021. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Director of the Business Unit: Industrie 4.0/Digitalisierung at TransMIT GmbH from November 2018 to July 2021. In addition, they have been a Professor for Industrie 4.0/Digitalisierung at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen since April 2018.

Before their current positions, Prof. Dr. Überall worked at Stanley Engineered Fastening, Tucker GmbH as a Senior Lean Specialist Digital Excellence from August 2016 to March 2018 and as a Software Engineer from March 2014 to July 2016. Prof. Dr. Christian also served as the Head of Frontend Development at Gesmo GmbH from August 2012 to February 2014.

In their earlier career, Prof. Dr. Überall co-founded and acted as a proprietor at TransMIT GmbH - Projektbereich interaktive Mediendienste from May 2008 to January 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant and Lecturer at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen from May 2007 to July 2012. Prof. Dr. Christian began their professional journey as a Student Research Assistant at Philips APM, where they worked from 2003 to 2006.

Prof. Dr. Christian Überall obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Engineering from City, University of London from 2007-2012. Prior to that, they received a Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) in Medieninformatik from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen from 2003-2007. Prof. Dr. Christian also holds certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB) and Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC).
