Sales Engineering Executive at TransNexus

Sean Archer has a long and varied career in the telecommunications industry. Sean began their career in 1987 as a Field Operations Technician at Union Pacific Resources. Sean then went on to become a Petroleum Engineer Assistant at Mobil Oil in 1988. In 1989, Sean began working at TELUS Communications as a Network Specialist, with a 6 month Expatriate assignment to Telecential UK as a Fiber Optic Transmission System Engineering Consultant. In 1996, they moved to Telus Mobility as a Switching Engineer. From 2000 to 2009, Sean worked at Nortel Networks as a Senior Network Planner, defining customer specific applied Network Architectures and associated end-to-end solutions for the newly introduced IP Multimedia Subsystem technology (IMS). From 2009 to 2014, they were a Senior Sales Engineer at Ribbon Communications, acting as a Key Technical advisor and product advocate. In 2018, Sean began working at Headroom Consulting Inc. as a Telecommunications Consultant, engineering Business Development for the Telecom Industry. In 2019, they became a Regional Sales Representative for the Americas at TelcoBridges, responsible for the sales of their high performance Media and Signalling Gateways and the innovative ProSBC. Most recently, in 2022, Sean started working at TransNexus as a Sales Executive, responsible for global Sales and Pre-Sales Engineering for their innovative cloud and on-premise telecom routing and call management software.

Sean Archer obtained a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary between 1985 and 1989. In 2008, they completed a course in Project Management at Mount Royal University. Sean also completed Cisco Certified Network Associate Training at RMIT University in 2010.
