Paula Mey Sousa

Paula Mey Sousa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in deepwater drilling operations, currently serving as Asset Manager and Assistant Rig Manager for Deepwater Skyros at Transocean since January 2011. Paula's expertise includes asset management, contract execution, and managing technical equipment issues while ensuring effective rig operations for clients. Previous roles at Transocean include Snr Category Supervisor, Logistic & Compliance Supervisor, Marketing Operations Engineer, and Operations Engineer, where Paula contributed to contract preparation, negotiation, and operational support. Paula also participated in a management development program within Transocean and completed internships at the Characterization of Fluids Lab at PUC-Rio and L’Oréal in France. Educational accomplishments include an MBA in Business Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, Paula holds a double degree in General Engineering from Centrale Lyon and a technical specialization in Electronics from Instituto de Tecnologia ORT.
