Dion Dekkers has a strong background in engineering and industrial design. They started their career in 2007 as an Industrial Designer intern at Splinter Industrial Design, where they gained experience in product development and prototyping. In 2009, they worked as an Industrial Designer at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, focusing on developing a communication aid prototype for individuals with expressive aphasia.
In 2010, Dekkers joined HQ Pack and held multiple roles, including Project Leader & Design Engineer, Project Leader & Department Coordinator, Manager Engineering, and eventually Global Head of Engineering. In these positions, they were responsible for various aspects of the Engineering department, such as project management, product development, cost calculation, production support, and Engineering Change management. They also played a key role in developing and implementing Technology Roadmaps to improve departmental performance and align with international customers.
Most recently, Dekkers joined TransPak in 2023 as part of the Business Operations team.
Dion Dekkers completed a Masterclass in Technical Project Management at NCOI Opleidingen in 2016. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, they attended Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Industrial Product Design.
