Perween Hasan

Perween Hasan is a reputed academic and author specializing in the

architecture of the Indian subcontinent. She currently serves as the Vice

Chancellor of Central Women’s University after retiring as a Professor at the

Department of Islamic History and Culture of the University of Dhaka. She is also

a Member of the Board of Trustees of Bangladesh Freedom Foundation. She was

honored by the fortnightly magazine Anannya with the "Anannya Shirshodosh

2016" award for her contribution to the education sector
