Eric Weaver

Eric Weaver is a long-time digital disrupter who has been at the leading edge of multiple waves of innovation. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Eric’s first career began as a software developer for General Motors and Ford Motor Company. In 1990, he became one of the very first digital marketers, walking brands like P&G, Ford and Johnson & Johnson through their very first digital efforts. Over the years, Eric has created marketing strategies and digital presences for nearly 100 global brands, persuading senior executives around the world to embrace e-commerce, webcasting, social content, blockchain, and augmented reality.

Eric’s primary role these days is serving as the founder and CEO of Transparent Path. The company's mission is to tackle the global food waste issue by creating more trust and transparency in their most critical supply chains. The Transparent Path platform uses continuously connected IoT sensors, edge computing and artificial intelligence to create real-time supply chain visibility. Sensors track products in real time, providing instant alerts when something goes wrong, allowing whoever has custody to preserve shipments and prevent waste, fines, and loss.

Other projects include the Weaver Company, through which he counsels global brands, and ARCHIVE, an advanced AI and extended reality initiative.

During his career, Eric has staffed, managed & grown award-winning creative, strategy & production teams in London, New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Seattle, Detroit and Cincinnati. His last role prior to launching Transparent Path was to launch the Xerox Customer Experience Practice, where he managed a $550M services book of business.

Eric has been quoted in nearly 30 industry publications. With over 15 awards for marketing excellence, he lectures for universities in the USA, Canada, Ireland and elsewhere, and speaks globally on topics like transparency, sustainability, and ethics.
