Karl Typolt, PE, is a seasoned transportation systems engineer currently working at Transpo Group since September 2023, focusing on enhancing safety and efficiency in transportation networks through strategic infrastructure investments and technology integration. With prior experience as a Senior ITS Engineer at DKS Associates from April 2019 to September 2023, Karl contributed to various projects, including the WSDOT TSMO Program and several ITS plans. Earlier roles include Transportation Engineer positions at Transpo Group and IBI Group, where Karl was involved in numerous ITS projects across Washington and California. Karl began the professional journey with an internship at WHPacific Inc. and a role as a Traffic Management Center Operator for the Washington State Department of Transportation. Karl Typolt holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, completed in 2009.
