Adrian Lord

Adrian Lord is an experienced professional in sustainable transport, currently serving as the Active Travel Network Manager at Transport for Greater Manchester since June 2025. Previously, Adrian held roles as Head of Cycling at Auckland Transport and Associate Director at Phil Jones Associates, specializing in cycling, walking, street design, and transport policy for clients including the Department for Transport and Transport for London. Additionally, Adrian has worked as an Infrastructure Consultant for British Cycling, focusing on cycle infrastructure design and policy development in collaboration with influential stakeholders. Earlier experience encompasses positions at Steer Davies Gleave, Arup, and various planning and research roles, complemented by academic qualifications including an MSc in European Traffic Engineering and Transportation from Nottingham Trent University and a BA (Hons) in Environmental Studies from Sheffield Hallam University.
