Chris Thompson

Chris Thompson is an experienced transportation professional currently serving as the Highways Network Manager at Transport for Greater Manchester since August 2015, where responsibilities include crossing, junction, and signal design, as well as managing temporary traffic works and the implementation of schemes from design to installation. Prior experience at Rochdale Borough Council from July 2002 to July 2015 included roles as a Traffic Engineer, where efforts focused on promoting various traffic regulation orders, coordinating traffic for major events, and approving traffic management plans. Chris also held positions as a Parking Services Assistant and Cost Recovery Clerk during tenure at the council. Chris Thompson holds a BSc (Hons) in Information and Communications from The Manchester Metropolitan University, completed in 2001.
