Peter Matthews

Peter Matthews is an experienced professional with a background in software engineering and education. Currently serving as an Associate Software Engineer at Transport for Greater Manchester since August 2023, Peter previously held the position of Junior Software Engineer at Northcoders, where skills in Full-Stack JavaScript development, Agile methodology, Test Driven Development, and various programming languages were cultivated. Prior to transitioning into technology, Peter was the Head of Faculty in Design & Technology at Buile Hill Academy, where significant contributions were made to curriculum development and student engagement. Peter also served as the Food Technology Subject Lead at Edgar Wood Academy, establishing a new department and promoting staff well-being. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Graphic Design from the University of Central Lancashire, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from The Manchester Metropolitan University, and a BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design from Salford City College Group.
