Steve Wurr

Steve Wurr has over four decades of experience in public transport management, with a current position as Section Manager for Customised Services at Transport for Greater Manchester since 2001. In this role, Steve leads a team that oversees various transport services and has successfully secured over £37 million in funding for low-carbon and community transport initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a Service Planning Officer and in various roles with Staffordshire County Council and Hereford and Worcester County Council, focusing on monitoring and promoting subsidised transport services. Steve began a career in transport with Greater Manchester Transport as a Senior Traffic Clerk. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics from the University of Wolverhampton, along with membership in the Chartered Institute of Transport.
