Tom Smith has over 20 years of experience in risk management and project support roles. Tom started their career at Warwickshire County Council as a Risk Manager in 1999. Tom then moved to Derbyshire County Council, where they worked as a Corporate Risk Manager for over a decade. In 2010, Tom joined Transport for Greater Manchester and held various positions, including Corporate Risk & Project and Programme Support Manager and Head of Risk and Assurance.
Tom Smith holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Risk Management from Glasgow Caledonian University. Tom also has a Prince 2 Practitioner certification in Project Management from APM Group. In addition, Tom has attained a National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health from NEBOSH. Tom further obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Disaster Engineering & Management from Coventry University & The Fire Service College. Lastly, Tom has completed a Level 7 Introductory Executive Diploma from the Institute of Leadership & Management.
