Tracey Taylor

Tracey Taylor is the current Chief People Officer at Transport for NSW. Prior to this, they were the Head of Organisation Effectiveness/People and Capability Manager for Group Functions at Ventia Pty Ltd from February 2017 to April 2018. There, they were responsible for the design of the people strategy and the support structures in the newly-established 20,000-strong organisation resulting from the merger of Leightons Contractors Service Division, Theiss Services, and Visionstream. Her key achievement was delivering a ground-up People Strategy in extremely short timelines, including mobilising new corporate infrastructure, cultural framework, and implementation approaches. The strategy included a corporate commitment to diversity and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples that they leveraged as a key value proposition in their tendering approach. Other outcomes included transitioning the talent acquisition function in-house, reducing average time to hire from 60 to 40 days and returning millions of dollars to the bottom line.

Before their time at Ventia Pty Ltd, Tracey was the Head of HR, Finance, Strategy and HR, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability at Westpac Group from October 2014 to December 2016. There, they were responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Group’s people strategy, as well as managing the Group’s sustainability agenda. During their time at Westpac, they also served as a member of the Group’s Executive Committee and as a Director on the Board of Westpac New Zealand Limited.

Tracey Taylor has a graduate certificate in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Sydney. Tracey also has a diploma in human resources management and services from TAFE NSW. Additionally, they have two certificates in introduction to industrial relations from the University of Sydney.

Tracey Taylor reports to Anne Hayes, Acting Chief Executive, Transport Asset Holding Entity. Tracey Taylor works with Brenda Hoang - Group Chief Financial Officer, Kiersten Fishburn - Deputy Secretary, Cities & Active Transport, and Matt Fuller - Deputy Secretary, Regional & Outer Metropolitan.
