Tony Williams is a highly experienced Senior Landscape Architect and Principal at Transport Infrastructure Ireland, with a focus on the concept, design, construction, and management of roadway and public transport projects since July 2001. In addition to this role, Tony serves as a European Voting Member of the Climate Change Working Group at the International Federation of Landscape Architects (Global) and holds the position of Honorary Member of IFLA Europe. Previously, Tony chaired IFLA Europe from October 2015 to November 2019 and was a council member and past president of the Irish Landscape Institute from May 2005 to May 2023. Earlier career roles include Senior Design Staff at Desmond Fitzgerald Architects and a Senior Tutor and researcher at University College Dublin, where Tony coordinated the 'SEASCAPES' research initiative. Educational qualifications consist of a PhD (in progress) in Natural Science from Trinity College Dublin, an ML Arch in Landscape Architecture from University College Dublin, and a BA in Natural Sciences from Trinity College Dublin.
