Michael Helvey

Michael Helvey has a strong background in software engineering with experience in various roles and companies. Michael is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Transport4 since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Opendorse as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2022 to January 2023.

Before that, Michael worked at Spreetail as a Full Stack Software Engineer from March 2022 to October 2022. In this role, they contributed to the development of a distributed Node.js/Typescript/React microservice and microfrontend-based application. Michael also led frontend engineering for internal-facing tools.

From August 2019 to February 2022, Michael was a Full Stack Software Engineer at Kepler Education. Michael played a key role in building the company from scratch, managing project timelines, creating UI designs, and coordinating with other developers. Michael primarily worked with React, Typescript, and Node.js.

At Roman Roads Media, Michael worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer from August 2018 to February 2022. Michael developed and maintained the web platform using a legacy Wordpress + Woocommerce site and implemented new features using React, Node.js, Python, and MySQL. Michael also managed pipelines on Gitlab and server infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Digital Ocean.

Michael started their career as a Software Engineer at AuditionMe, Inc in 2015. Michael worked there twice, from July 2015 to October 2017 and from February 2018 to April 2018. In these roles, they were responsible for designing and developing an iOS application, creating and managing the back end infrastructure, and integrating with the business and design team.

In addition, Michael worked at RopeMetrics, LLC as a Software Engineer from November 2017 to January 2018 and at QuickFlics as a Software Engineer from June 2015 to February 2016. At QuickFlics, they were the primary developer for the QuickFlics cloud storage mobile application and maintained the iOS application and backend infrastructure on the Parse platform and AWS.

Michael Helvey received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Culture from New Saint Andrews College. Michael attended the college from 2014 to 2019.
