Garrick Forkenbrock

Garrick Forkenbrock is a Senior Engineer and Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, having served since July 2000. In this role, Garrick manages research programs aimed at saving lives and reducing traffic-related economic costs, with extensive experience in program planning, project conception, test procedure development, and dissemination of research findings. Prior to this position, Garrick worked as a Research Engineer at Transportation Research Center Inc. from May 1996 to July 2000, focusing on light vehicle antilock brake system performance. An early career as an Engineering Intern included development work related to ABS research at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Garrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Psychology from the University of Iowa, where studies were completed from 1991 to 1996.
