Michael Drury

Michael Drury is an experienced professional in railroad safety and engineering with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Chief Inspector and Railroad Safety Specialist within the U.S. Department of Transportation since March 2014, Drury is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Positive Train Control (PTC) systems, including both laboratory and field testing. Prior to this role, Drury was the General Manager at Allmon LLC, where business operations for the legal support services division were managed. Drury's earlier experience at BNSF Railway included various managerial positions, such as Sr. Manager of Technical Training, where oversight of training for various engineering disciplines was provided, and Manager of Signal Special Projects, which involved directing multi-million dollar projects. Michael Drury holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from UOP-KCMO, a Certificate in Railroad Electronics from Johnson County Community College, and an Associate of Science in Industrial Electricity and Programmable Logic Controls from Linn State Technical College.
