Thomas Liberatore currently serves as the Director of the Office of Enforcement and Compliance at the U.S. Department of Transportation, a position held since July 2015. Prior to this role, Thomas was the State Programs Chief at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the Director of the Office of Driver Programs at the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration from August 2007 to July 2015, where responsibilities included managing driver licensing and education programs as well as coordinating highway safety initiatives. Thomas also served as the Public Policy Director for the Maryland Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society from January 2000 to August 2007, focusing on legislative advocacy and public outreach. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Psychology from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Frostburg State University.
