John Spencer

John Spencer brings extensive experience in the surety industry, currently serving as Vice President and Head of US Surety at TransRe since October 2014. Prior roles include Vice President and Assistant Vice President at TransRe, as well as Senior Surety Underwriter. Prior to TransRe, John held the position of Surety Account Executive at Zurich North America from January 2013 to October 2014 and worked as a Senior Surety Underwriter at ChubbSurety from August 2005 to January 2013. John began a career in surety underwriting at Travelers Insurance from June 2001 to August 2005. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from Rutgers Business School (2006 - 2009) and a bachelor's degree from Loyola University Maryland (1997 - 2001).
