Joey Chua

Joey (Joselito) Chua is a seasoned professional specializing in advanced analytics and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics at Transurban since July 2021. In this role, Joey leads initiatives utilizing AI/ML solutions to enhance road safety and efficiency while managing a team of Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists. Prior to Transurban, Joey held key positions at AGL Energy, including AI&ML Engineering Senior Manager and Delivery Lead for Data and Analytics, where responsibilities encompassed leading ML Ops practices and delivering data engineering solutions. Joey's experience further extends to significant roles at Shelde, the Victorian Centre for Data Insights, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, and various academic and governmental institutions, including Monash University and the Victorian Department of Environment and Primary Industries. Joey holds a PhD in Computer Science and a Master of Computing from Monash University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Ateneo de Manila University.
