John Morton

John Morton is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the infrastructure and construction sectors. Currently serving as General Counsel for WestConnex at Transurban since September 2018, John previously held key legal roles including Director of Strategy, Commercial and Legal at Sydney Motorway Corporation, where responsibility included leading the legal, risk, and audit teams during a major transaction and project delivery. Earlier positions include Group General Counsel at CIMIC Group Limited, General Counsel at Leighton Contractors, and General Counsel and Company Secretary at WALTER Construction Group Limited. John’s legal career began as a Solicitor and Senior Associate at Gillis Delaney Brown, following education at the University of Sydney and UNSW.
