Steve McCarthy has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Steve started their career in 1974 as the Director of Compensation & Benefits at The Williams Company, where they developed pay plans and oversaw employee benefit plans. In 1980, they moved to Edgcomb Metals as the Vice-President of Human Resources & Administration, where they managed HR, insurance, and safety functions for a steel distribution company. After that, Steve served as the President & Owner of Oklahoma Turf and Irrigation, where they successfully increased sales and reduced manpower. In 2001, they founded McCarthy Consultants, providing strategic consulting services and selling businesses on behalf of owners. Steve later worked as a Consultant at Corporate Performance Group and is currently employed as a Sales Agent at Transworld Business Brokers.

Steve McCarthy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at Boston College Carroll School of Management from 1964 to 1968. Following that, they pursued an MBA degree with a specialization in Investing at Fordham Gabelli School of Business from 1971 to 1973.
