Jan Schwalbe

Jan Schwalbe currently serves as the Senior Chief Engineer for OBD & Compliance at TRATON GROUP since July 2025. Prior to this role, Jan worked at MAN Truck & Bus SE as Chief Engineer OBD & Compliance from April 2023 to June 2025, where Jan focused on strategic decisions for the OBD concept and represented MAN in international committees related to OBD topics. From July 2010 to April 2023, Jan held various positions at IAV GmbH, culminating in the role of Manager System Diagnostics & System Integration for Commercial Vehicles, overseeing a team of up to 12 engineers, and previously as a Development Engineer for OBD, covering heavy-duty vehicles and passenger cars. Jan's career started at Mercedes-AMG GmbH in 2009 as a Diplomand, and Jan completed a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2010.
