Juan Otero

Juan Otero has extensive experience in the technology and innovation space. Juan has held various roles, starting with IT Service Desk Team Leader at Sun Microsystems in 2005. Juan then moved to Booking.com as Senior Project Manager in 2006. In 2008, they founded and became CEO of Restaurantes.com, a European OpenTable competitor with over 6,000 restaurants, which was later acquired by the Michelin Group. In 2012, they began working as a Startup Mentor / Advisor at Wayra. In 2014, they became an Innovation & Technology Advisor at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology and a Startup Mentor at the Founder Institute. In 2015, they took on the role of Innovation Advisor at the European Commission. In 2017, they co-founded Travala.com and became its CEO, and they also became a Board Advisor at Unocart. In 2018, they began working as a Startup Mentor at muru-D.

Juan Otero attended Universidad Europea from 1999 to 2004. Juan also studied at Université du Littoral Côte d'Opale from 2000 to 2001, and at Université Toulouse - Jean Jaurès from 2002 to 2003. No additional certifications are listed.
