Yvonne Chau is a seasoned professional in the tourism and marketing sectors, currently serving as the Destination Development Manager for Travel Alberta since September 2017. In this role, Yvonne leads strategic experience and destination development plans for the Calgary and Southern Rockies region, emphasizing coaching, consulting, and training to enhance project management and investment assessments. Yvonne’s diverse experience includes prior positions such as Tourism Development Manager and Business Development Manager for a Receptive Tour Operator, where efforts focused on promoting Alberta as a tourism destination and enhancing international market offerings. Additional roles include Business Development & Marketing Consultant at HSL Technology, Director of the Prairies Chapter for the Canada China Business Council, and various leadership positions in marketing and corporate communications at Brookfield Residential. Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing/Tourism & Hospitality Management from the University of Calgary, along with several certifications in destination management and community economic development.
