Head of Quality & Customer Success at Travel Compositor

Albert Santín Castán has over 20 years of work experience in the hospitality industry. Albert is currently serving as the Head of Quality & Customer Success at Travel Compositor since January 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Booking.com as a Senior Account Manager from July 2017 to April 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the business in Ibiza, Menorca, and Formentera region, managed and motivated a team of 4 people.

From October 2014 to May 2017, Albert served as the Head of e-Distribution at Barcelo Hotels & Resorts, where they led the online distribution strategy for EMEA properties. Albert also oversaw the integration of online accounts for all properties. Earlier in their career at Barcelo Hotels & Resorts, they held the position of Corporate Channel Manager from October 2008 to October 2014.

Albert's work experience also includes roles at Meliá Hotels International, where they worked as Revenue Manager for Meliá Mallorca from April 2008 to October 2008, Brand Manager Analyst for Meliá Brand from April 2007 to April 2008, and Operations Analyst for the European Division from May 2005 to April 2007.

Albert started their career at Meliá Hotels International in 2002 as an intern, gaining experience in reception and governance departments. Albert then moved on to internships in administration, commercial, and guest experience departments in 2003, and as the Deputy Director in 2004.

Prior to working at Meliá Hotels International, Albert also had internships at Chez Planes as a chef in 2001 and at Occidental Hotels & Resorts as a waiter in 2000.

Albert Santín Castán has a diverse education history. In 1999, they began their studies at the Centro Superior de Hostelería de Galicia (EN: CSHG- Hotel Business School) and completed a Diploma in Hospitality Business Management in 2004. In 2013, Albert pursued further education in Revenue Management, completing a program in Operational Revenue Management at CESAE Business&Tourism School, and another program in Revenue Management and hotel distribution at InnWise - Marketing & Revenue Services.

In 2015, Albert attended IE Business School and engaged in an Advanced Management Program in Mallorca, focusing on Executive Education. Outside of formal education, Albert has obtained various certifications and licenses. These include a boat pilot license from the Gobierno de las Illes Balears in 2010, an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI in 2004, and a car and motorbike driving license from the Dirección General de Tráfico in 2002. Albert has also obtained certifications in areas such as growth strategy design, leadership and teamwork, and Excel 2013: Pivot Tables from LinkedIn. Additionally, they completed the Palma Marathon Mallorca in 2007, achieving a time of 1 hour and 34 minutes, and the Camino Pilgrim Saint Jack under the Canonicus Deputatus pro Peregrinis in 2009.
