Annie Fast has worked in a variety of roles in the ski and winter recreation industry since 1992. Annie began their career as an intern for Senator Max Baucus in 1992, followed by a role as a coach and camp counselor at High Cascade Snowboard Camp in 1995. In 2000, they worked as a prospective member guide and snowboard instructor at the Yellowstone Club Mountain Resort. Annie then moved to Time Inc. in 2002, where they served as a senior editor and managing editor for TransWorld SNOWboarding until 2008. In 2008, they assumed the role of Editor in Chief for TransWorld SNOWboarding at Bonnier Corporation. In 2012, they became the Senior Director of Programming for Network A at Sportsrocket. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Ski & Winter Recreation Communications & Content Director for Travel Oregon. Most recently, they have been the Snowboard and Freeski Communications & Press Manager for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team since 2021.
Annie Fast obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology major with a concentration in Anthropology from Montana State University-Bozeman between 1993 and 1998. In 2015, they obtained an Audience Growth Certificate from YouTube. Additionally, they have a Specialized Certificate in Copyediting from UC San Diego Extended Studies.
