Laurel MacMillan

Laurel MacMillan possesses extensive experience in tourism, grant management, and community engagement, emphasizing cultural and economic development. Currently serving as the Mt. Hood-Columbia Gorge Fam Tour Contractor with the Mt. Hood-Columbia Gorge Region since August 2018, Laurel collaborates with Travel Oregon and regional organizations to organize numerous familiarization tours. As the Bend Cultural Tourism Fund Administrator since January 2018, Laurel manages a grant program that allocates $400,000 annually to enhance cultural tourism projects. Previous roles include Familiarization Tour Coordinator at Travel Portland, Global Sales Manager at Visit Central Oregon, and various management positions at Forktown Food Tours, showcasing strong skills in stakeholder collaboration, program development, and community outreach. Laurel holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Portland State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Historic Preservation and Architectural History from the University of Oregon.
