Tomas Are Haavet

Tomas Are Haavet has been working in the tech industry since 2000. Tomas Are started their career at Opoint AS as a Software Developer, then moved up to Head of R&D and Head of Engineering. In 2006, they became a Senior Developer & Architect and Co-owner at Jernstraale AS. In 2015, they took on the role of Avdelingsleder kjernesystem skadeforsikring / Head of Engineering P&C Insurance Core Systems at SpareBank 1. From 2016 to 2018, they were a SIKT 2016, 2017, 2018 & SIKT-alumni at SIKT ALUMNI. Most recently, in 2020, they took on the role of CTO and Co-Founder at Travelin.ai.

Tomas Are Haavet obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of Oslo (UiO) between 2000 and 2003. Tomas Are then went on to earn a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Technology from UiO between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, they attended Kristelig Gymnasium, Oslo, Norway from 1996 to 1999, where they completed general studies. In addition, they have obtained certifications from the Scrum Alliance and PEOPLECERT, including a Certified ScrumMaster in February 2016 and a PRINCE2 Foundation in February 2016.
