Ariel Perez

Ariel Perez has a wealth of experience in the engineering and technology fields. Ariel began their career in 1995 as a Math Teacher at the Pedagogical University of Ciego de Ávila. In 1997, they worked as a Database Designer at the Toxicology Center CENSAD. In 1998, they were a Sales Analyst at Melia Hotels International Cuba. In 1999, they worked as an Applications Developer at Suministres Tècnics S.L. From 2001 to 2016, they were the Technical Director at Lacosoft. From 2016 to 2018, they were the Chief Technology Officer/Founder at Winedunk, where they interviewed and recruited the development team, led the build of the startup’s platform and products, and took ownership of the startup’s technical direction, tech stack and products roadmap. From 2018 to 2022, they were an IT Developer Manager at British Gymnastics, and an Engineering Manager at both TravelLocal and trip.me.

Ariel Perez began their educational journey in 1984, when they obtained a GCSE from IPVCE Máximo Gómez - Camaguey - Cuba. Ariel then moved on to High School, also at IPVCE Máximo Gómez, from 1987 to 1990. After that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Pedagogical University of Ciego de Ávila from 1990 to 1995. In 1995, they obtained an MSc Applied Computing from Central University of Villa Clara, specializing in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. Finally, in 2015, they earned a Master's Degree in Digital Marketing and E-commerce from EAE Business School. In 2020, Ariel Perez also obtained a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org.
