Stuart Laird-Smith

Stuart Laird-Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in management, performance, and financial strategy across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Management & Performance for Distributor partners at Travelport, Stuart oversees the growth and performance management of 30 distributors across EMEA and Asia, focusing on strategic growth opportunities and partner relationships. Previous roles include Commercial Director for Business Development, overseeing P&Ls in EMEA, and various positions in commercial strategy across different regions. Prior to Travelport, Stuart served as Financial Controller for South African Airways, leading financial operations and achieving notable successes, including a US$60 million business unit sale. Additionally, Stuart was the Chief Financial Officer for SuperGroup Dealerships and began a career in finance with Arthur Andersen & Co. Stuart holds the designation of Chartered Accountant from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and has degrees in Accounting and Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand.
