Vanessa Stadlbauer

Vanessa Stadlbauer has a wealth of experience in the software and NLP development fields. Vanessa began their career in 2007 as a Student Worker at the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. In 2008, they took on the role of Software Tester at DATEV eG. The following year, they were an Intern at the same university. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Elektrobit (EB) - Automotive as a Software Tester and Student Worker. Here, they developed test setups for a variety of languages to test speech recognition software, prepared test data and analyzed results, and recorded navigation speech items for a speech corpus. In 2013, they joined Nuance Communications as an NLU Developer German, focusing on building high quality language resources and delivering accurate and efficient statistical language models for cloud NLU for high profile automotive and consumer electronics customers. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Software Designer at Carmeq GmbH. Most recently, they have been a Senior NLP Developer at Travelsify since 2018.

Vanessa Stadlbauer completed their Magister Artium degree in Linguistische Informatik from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg between 2005 and 2011. In 2009, they completed a semester abroad at the University of Jyväskylä in Information Technology. Before that, between 2004 and 2005, they completed the first year of a three year Certified Translator program for Spanish and English at the Institut für Fremdsprachen, Erlangen.
