Barney Harford

Barney Harford is currently an advisor at TravelX, but they have held many other notable positions in the past. From October 2017 to July 2019, Harford served as the COO at Uber. Barney was responsible for launching Expedia’s business in the Asia Pacific region, which included expansions into Japan, China, and Australia. Prior to their time at Uber, Harford served as the CEO and Board Director of Orbitz Worldwide from January 2009 to November 2015. During their tenure, they oversaw the company’s successful acquisition by Expedia for $1.6 billion. Harford has also served as a Board Director for Orange Hotel Group (China), GlobalEnglish, and LiquidPlanner.

Barney Harford was educated at the University of Cambridge, where they studied Natural Sciences. Barney then went on to study for an MBA at INSEAD. Barney is also a certified NACD Board Leadership Fellow from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
