Selim Olcum

Selim Olcum began their career in 2002 as an Undergraduate Intern at NIST. In 2003, they became an Intern Engineer at the same company. In 2006, they were a Visiting Scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2010 to 2011, they were an Instructor at Bilkent University and a Research Scientist and Post-Doctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In 2018, they became the Co-founder and Director Of Engineering at Travera.

Selim Olcum received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bilkent University in 2003, followed by an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the same university in 2005. Selim then completed a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Bilkent University in 2010. In 2011, they undertook postdoctoral training in Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2013. Prior to their studies at Bilkent University, Selim attended Izmir Fen Lisesi from 1996 to 1999, where they completed their high school studies, and Bornova Anadolu Lisesi from 1992 to 1996.
