Mehul Shah M.d.

Mehul Shah, M.D., Ph.D., has extensive work experience in the medical field. Mehul is currently working as the Senior Director of Global Medical Affairs at Travere Therapeutics since September 2021. Prior to that, they held various positions at Actelion, including Director of Medical Affairs from January 2019 to July 2021, Associate Director of Medical Affairs from January 2016 to January 2019, and Senior Manager of Medical Affairs in 2015.

Before joining Actelion, Dr. Shah worked as a Visiting Scientist at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology from February 2014 to January 2015. Mehul also worked at the University of California San Diego as an Assistant Project Scientist from 2011 to 2013 and as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2006 to 2011.

Dr. Shah's earlier experience includes being a Graduate Research Fellow at New York Medical College from 2001 to 2006. Mehul also worked as a Medical Officer for the Government of Maharashtra State from September 2000 to June 2001 and as a Primary Care Physician at Lifeline Hospital from February 2000 to August 2000. Mehul started their career as a Clinical Intern at King Edward Memorial Hospital, University of Mumbai from January 1999 to January 2000.

Mehul Shah, M.D., Ph.D., completed their medical education at the University of Mumbai from 1994 to 2000, earning an M.D. degree in Clinical Medicine. Mehul then pursued a Ph.D. in Cell Biology at New York Medical College from 2001 to 2006.
