Mike Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mike began their career in 1992 as a Secure Communications Cryptographic Technician in the Air Force, specializing in encrypted communications and computer and security equipment repair. In 1999, they joined Carteret Health Care as a Network Engineer, where they managed the hospital's infrastructure, including advanced network communication, data storage, connectivity, and wireless and voip communications. In 2019, they worked at ENTRUST Technology as an IT Engineer before moving to OKIN BPS as a Solutions Delivery Manager and later as a Principal in IoT and Network Solutions. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Syteline Administrator at Austin Lighthouse, where they serve as an ERP and Process Manager reporting directly to the CFO.
Mike Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Technology/Technician from East Carolina University, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Industrial Technology at Carteret Community College from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Mike obtained certifications in Appgate SDP - Commander Certification and Appgate SDP - Ranger Certification from Appgate in September 2021.
