Darwin Hamilton

Darwin Hamilton is a dedicated speaker, writer, facilitator, and consultant, actively involved in criminal justice advocacy as a board member of the National Association for Public Defense. A 5th generation Austinite, Hamilton has a rich connection to local history through the Historic Dedrick-Hamilton House and a strong commitment to mentoring, leadership, and social policy. Currently serving on the oversight board for the Travis County Public Defender Office, Hamilton draws on a wealth of previous experience, including a long tenure as a senior accountant and director, to influence and inspire individuals in public speaking and social justice initiatives. With a passion for storytelling, Hamilton has made significant contributions to higher education, community engagement, and public safety.
